About Us
Kids Day of Fishing, Inc. is an organization dedicated to helping disabled, underprivileged and special needs children by providing outdoor activities and other community events to build confidence and life skills to enrich their lives.

Our first scheduled event for 2008 is a May Fishing Derby at Travis Air Force Base.  This is for children of military spouses that are, or have been, deployed to support operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.  Our purpose is to help reunite military families.  In addition, we are including all special needs children of military personnel assigned to military families at the base.  We plan to service an estimated 250 children.

For the Fishing Derby, we will provide event T-shirts and hats, quality fishing rods and reels, and tackle and bait, as well as, the stocking of the base pond with enough bass and catfish to insure the success of all participants.  Awards and other special prizes will be provided and presented during the BBQ lunch that we will provide for the participants and parents attending.

Quickly following this event, in June, will be our second annual Kids Day of Fishing event at Solano State Park.  This event will be for underprivileged and disabled children located throughout Soloan County.  We expect over 100 children at this event.

In addition, we provide special single trips/events for very special needs children.  These events are normally provided with professional guides and/or charter ship professionals.  Taking place at Sea, the San Francisco Bay, Northern California Rivers and Lakes, these events are truely an experience that are cherished by the children.
